Personal statement

Dr Glory Uche Abugu is an Operational Research (OR) Analyst with keen interest in applying OR and analytics to support evidence-based decision making. She holds a PhD in Management Science from the University of Strathclyde. She has over 4 years experience leading and contributing to teaching and learning activities in Mathematics, Data and Business Analytics. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Glory is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Biomedical Engineering at University of Strathclyde where she supports an NHS board in optimising their health care data management and use of analytics to improve policies and outcome of health care delivery. Besides herĀ  teaching and research experiences, she has a growing interest and experience in knowledge exchange, having worked as a Research Assistant-Data Analyst in an interdisciplinary project during her PhD, as a Research Analyst with Police Scotland and in her current role with an NHS board.
